Product Links: Sands Mulch Gravel Sod Building Materials
Contents: 50% GBEW composted top soil, 25% Nutra-Mulch, and 25% granite sand.
Uses: Flower beds, perennial gardens, planting trees, shrubs, lawns etc.
Flower beds and perennial beds should be prepared by roto-tilling 2-4 inches in depth then mixing 2-4 inches of flower mix on top and roto-tilling into the soil. Flower mix can also be placed on top of existing soil up to 6 inches deep and planting flowers, perennial gardens, and vegetables directly into the soil. Flower mix should not be used deeper than 6 inches because of settling. Trees and shrubs should be planted using 50% existing soil and 50% Flower mix. Mr. James Hulen developed this soil mixture in 1964 for planting roses. Over 3500 roses per year were planted in this soil. The secret to this soil's success is the granite sand (13 different micro nutrients).

Uses: Nutra-Mulch is a great mulch around flowers, perennials, vegetables and natural areas. Spreading over Fescue grass no more than a ¼ inch deep. Use up to 1 inch over new Fescue seed, ½ inch over Bermuda seed. Do not use on Centipede seed or grass. Nutra-Mulch brings up the PH in the soil, Centipede likes an acid soil. Nutra-Mulch is also used in our Flower mix and Landscape mix.

Contents: 50% Nutra-Mulch, 50% river sand.
Uses: We recommend using sod dressing on Bermuda and Zoyzia grasses only. This product can also be used to level the ground before laying sod. We recommend using sod dressing after you have cut your grass 2 times in the spring to ensure vigorous growth. Then you must scalp the grass, aerate and fertilize. Apply sod dressing at ½ inch thick then rake smooth - you should see some grass stubble sticking thru your sand. Water thoroughly. Your grass should green up in approximately one week with the right weather and/or watering. Always roll your yard with a water roller before laying sod. Do not use on Centipede or Fescue grasses.
